I awoke yesterday morning with heavy pressure over my chest, and the pain was quite severe. I could barely breathe, and definitely not sit up. There was this low, rumbling noise in my ears and as I finally managed to open my eyes the reason for all this was quite obvious: I am loved. Right that moment I was loved by a very happy two year old Cornish Rex cat that had decided to wake me by sitting high up on my chest and purr. I am also loved by a big, red housecat, but he put his head through the door, let out a “mmmmaaaaahhh” for a ‘good morning’ and then told me to kindly get up and feed him. The blue and white boy on my chest closed his eyes and argued that he was very happy where he was, thank you, and please don’t move.

After a moment my big boy came into the room again, complaining that he was now positively starving, and that I should get my lazy ass out of bed at once or something very baaaad might happen to the curtains.
I moved, just and inch, but then the one on my chest extracted a claw, a bit casually, saying that I should really stay put…

There was a stalemate for a few minutes , until my little one suddenly remembered that he really, REALLY had some pressing matters to take care of in the litter box, and gave me a glare as he ran off, telling me that I really shouldn’t keep him occupied like that…

I sighed and dragged my self out of bed, facing another day of servitude to my little tyrants… but they love me…


And I get a lot of material to “Titan’s Tails” from them…
